The overall objective of the A2 (A-Squared) Project is to develop a clear understanding of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the countries of the Asia/Near East Region, and to translate that understanding into effective national policies and appropriately targeted and resourced programs. Countries and donors can then make evidence-based decisions, utilizing this empirical base to strengthen political commitment and ensuring that resources dedicated to HIV/AIDS truly make a difference.
