Abstract

Capacity Building Programme on HIV and AIDS Prevention: Workbook from the National Master Training Workshop for Traditional Leaders
Department of Health, POLICY ()

 Order for free

Traditional leaders have a track record of success and strong leadership in HIV and AIDS prevention, care, and support programs and services. This allows them to be responsive to national and local issues including HIV and AIDS. It is in this context that the POLICY Project and the National Department of Health have formed a partnership to implement a capacity building programme on HIV and AIDS prevention planning for Traditional Leaders. This partnership believes that Traditional Leaders are well placed to pioneer HIV and AIDS prevention interventions that promote behavioral change by initiating programmes that emphasize abstinence and being faithful at the local level.
