POLICY Project Countries
Africa
The POLICY Project's work in Africa is intended to strengthen and sustain family planning programs, improve maternal health, and prevent the spread and mitigate the effects of HIV/AIDS.
In all of its activities, POLICY works to mobilize resources for family planning and reproductive health, including HIV/AIDS.
The major areas of POLICY assistance in Africa are in
- policy formulation and strategic planning;
- projections and analysis for improving operational policies and programs;
- analysis and dissemination of DHS, sentinel surveillance, and other data to strengthen policies and programs;
- awareness raising and advocacy;
- finance;
- capacity-building with local organizations and professionals.
