POLICY Project Countries
Latin America and the Caribbean
The POLICY Project's work in Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC) addresses the reproductive health needs of local populations. POLICY efforts focus on strengthening local capacity to participate in the policy process, and sustaining the decentralization process by improving public/private partnerships.
To this end, POLICY provides training and technical assistance in advocacy, policy analysis and research, leadership, gender, human rights, participatory processes, conflict management, and consensus building. POLICY also works closely with local governments and NGOs in developing municipal plans to ensure family planning and reproductive health care (FP/RH) services respond to the needs of communities.
